Some advice please
Hi, We have recenlty joined this site as we are considering getting a golden. We already have a 13 yr old (going on 3 yr old!) springer spaniel. He is spoilt rotten and we love him to bits however feel that he needs a companion so are looking to retrievers which we love. They are so lovable and playful, just like Ben so are hoping that they would get on well. What do you think? Any advice?

Welcome to our Forum. Unless your 13 year old has lived with another dog even though he is very young in his ways he may feel that it is not for him and may feel that he has to compete which is not what you want for a dog his age. He is lovely by the way. Every dog is different so one may be found that just gets on with him Maybe a bitch . Give me a ring and we could have a proper chat about it. It really doesn't matter what the breed is as long as they get on well together that is the main thing and we have to find the right one . I had a Springer many years ago and he was the boss of the Goldens What a little monkey he was. Daniel the Spaniel
