A colour chart of golden retrievers!

Post by Eastonwolfs »

Hello everyone

We really enjoyed the dog show last week...we were sorry we couldn't stay longer (we only saw the first 2 classes). I was completely taken with all the dogs, if someone had said pick (another) one to take home I'd have struggled. They were all so lovely and all looked so well looked after by such nice caring owners.

I was discussing the plight of dogs needing homes on the way home and realsied that as bad a posiiton that is; how lucky we really are to have such nice people to come forward and adopt them. Not to metion people like Jan that facilitate all this good work.

Events like this do take some organsiation and time and effort...just setting up and clearing up after everyone and packing away is very time consuming and tiring. I don't know how and your helpers you do it Jan but I'm glad you do...thanks from all or us!

I left the day with one thought (of many) "that dog show was like a colour chart for golden retreivers"...have never seen so many shades!!

Heres some collages of pictures...don't think we got everyone in but we had a try!

Susan

What a fantastic set of pictures -

I have to admit, when i escaped from the hotdog pan to come and have a look outside it was nothing short of breathtaking to see all the dogs looking so stunning...

Without Jan, well where would they have ended up...
With Jan, well they have all been found loving homes with devoted people to care for them...

Wow great pictures :) have to admit all of them looked so wonderful with their new owners and so well loved...

In fact I had a black golden on Monday, we were up in the lakes and went to Ullswater so let our two of as you do for a nice run by the lake, ok all went well, then...Paddy spotted the blackest muddyiest pond he could find and rolled in it, he came out black... he is a mud magnet we tried to get as much of in the lake but couldnt so then back to our caravan and a shampoo and set...does anyone else golden do this???
