Rain rain and more rain

Post by lynn wise »

Hope everyone managing to cope with all the rain we're getting. Weather news tonight was awful, all those poor people caught up in the floods again.

We went out after tea tonight, came home like 3 drowned rats, AGAIN. Promptly ordered 2 new rain coats for W&W, himself couldn't care less about wearing one, herself walks round in a sulk. Not to bother, THEY WILL WEAR THEM. At least they just get wet tummies and legs, I feel so sorry for them when they get a drenching. Doesn't matter how careful you are, they still feel a little damp, their bedding suffers, in the washer every couple of days. Thankfully, no sign of major flooding here, although the beck is running fast and deep.

Hope you are all safe and dry. L xx :cold2:

Hi Lynn
Bad flooding in York again! Racecourse is like a lake though Honey loves to run through the puddles. Running out of towels fast! :1960

If you can Linda, get yourself an EASIDRI, fantastic for getting the worst of the wet out, then a quick flash over with a towel.
A great piece of kit.
Hugs to girlie.xx

We bought a horse one and cut it in 2. They are fantastic when the dogs are soaking wet and seem to last for ever
Dont go for the car size one they are too small even for a car

If the dogs are muddy we hose them off then get most of the water out using the easidri then finish them off with a towel.
This way the towels dont get soaking wet. Think of an easidri as a synthetic leather

They do pull the mud off Jan, but more success when hosed down first. As they are being used you keep wringing them out, it's pretty amazing the ammount of water that comes out. Also, when dirty you can rinse them out or stich them in the washer along with the other doggy stuff. This weather there's been plenty going into the washer!!!
Ordered their new jackets lastweek, they are fab'. Waterproof, made by Shires equestrian, bought through Amazon. There were 5 different colour ways to choose from, they've got navy/red and white. Willow takes Large, Woody Extra large. Just in case anyone thinking of getting rain coats for their dogs.

Lynn

Have ordered an easidri, just for info the large one was 19.95 so a small saving. If anybody wants the website address let me know.

We have been deluged with rain for the past 3 days, Flossie is very sensible and lets me put a coat on her and avoids walking through puddles, Dora, must admit have not tried a coat on her, but she runs through huge puddles dragging Dad closely behind! Quite entertaining really! , however one very very wet dog when we get home so looking forward to the easidri arriving.

Regards

Vicki
