Turbary Woods - A Different way to spend a special day

Post by labres1 »

Yesterday, we spend a few hours at Turbary Woods in Preston on an Owl & Hawk Experience Day.

Turbary Woods is an Owl and Birds of Prey sanctuary.

We were guided by Roy, a volunteer at the sanctuary who provided a fun and very interesting session where we flew Owls, Kestrels and Hawks.

Quite often, members ask for suggestions of something unusual or different that they can do to celebrate a special occasion - well if you have any interest in Birds of Prey or Owls - this is the place to visit...

That looks quite interesting. Didn't realise I had something like that almost round the corner from me. I shall have to take my grandson to have a look at that. :thumbleft
