My dog

Post by Cobi and Ginnies Mum »

I found this amongst some of my old dog photos, very true of goldens

He's one in a million and special to me,
Affectionate, loyal and good company.
He's there when I'm lonely and life seems a bore,
he cheers and offers a comforting paw.
The look in his eyes says he quite understands
as he thrusts a bewhiskered wet nose in my hand.
He never deserts me whever I go,
and he's a far better friend than some people I know.
I thank him by writing this short monologue
to my faithful devoted companion -
my dog.

So reassuring to know that while society and mankind is changing the love that our dogs have for us never falters - even if we are cruel sometimes and feed them the Good Boy Treats instead of the yummy Thorntons chocolates
