Figure of 8

Post by lynn wise »

Wondered if anyone interested. We went to our local Game Fair yesterday.
Stopped at one of the stands to ask if they had some form of alternative to a Halti for Timber. The gentleman picked out what looked like a fancy slip lead and proceeded to demonstrate how to use it. He put it on Timber and off we went. Went back later on for one for Willow, they are brilliant. No dead pup',as with a Halti, just trotted on oblivious :o
They really worked on Timber, who's got a mind of his own at times. No pulling at all.

If interested, they do mail order..Lynn's Leads ( no relation!)
phone...07711 841 293 or 07810 110 335.

Sounds like a good idea Lynn. Always a bit worried about Halti's as they seem to get in the eyes.

What I'm not keen on Jan, is that the webbing seems too narrow for a big dog head. But I'm not the inventor, so it must be o.k.

We were really amazed at the other doofer, Willow showed no signs of stress when it was placed on her, just like an old hand at it. So that will do for me. Whilst we were at the stall, another lady had been watching the proceedings. Promptly bought one for her dog when she saw what effect it had.

By the way, only saw 2 other Goldens all day. Lots of Labs, Springers, and Whippet/Lurchers. Felt well out numbered

Is there any chance of a picture Lynn? - we don't like using a halti on Toby because (as Jan says) its too close to their eyes.

We went to Blackpool Dog Show last weekend (in the rain) but the weather was that bad we didn't get chance to have a proper look.

We were in 7th heaven - the place was full of labs and goldies (well, it was gun dog day :D )

This looks just what we need too, Lucy is better have to admit on a normal lead but Paddy would definately benefit from one of these. Thanks for the info... :)

What a great demo, makes it fool proof which is just what we like here.

Think we could use one as well agree with the halti problem and eyes and they never worked here anyway.

Thanks to Lynn, Timber and Mr G!! :D :D :D

I don't know what happened to my original post

Thanks very much for the demo Lynn (and modelled so well :D ) - it certainly looks a good idea and easy to use.

I don't know if Ian has had a response from the firm yet - will have to ask him

xx
