A Few Days in North Wales.

Post by Samsmum »

Hello Friends!
Last Wednesday we took the caravan and more importantly, Sam, to Rhos on Sea. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the sun was blistering hot, so we went out first thing after breakfast, returned by noon and put the big fan on, and then out again about 3-00 p.m. Sam had a good swim in the sea, Thursday and Friday, but stank after he came out, and his coat was dull with salt, so on Saturday we took him to Llanwrst.
A very large Golden, very pale woolly coat, was playing in the river, so Sam was happy to join it and they had a real good play, and his coat was much cleaner for it!
I wonder if the other dog was one of Jan's. I didn't go down to the edge of the river (too many showers from Sam to do that!!) but David did, but didn't think to ask about the other dog.
Anyhow, we had a good rest, some good walks, and Sam his good swims; oh! and he and David had an ice-cream cone each! Much appreciated by both.
Hope you have all been enjoying the sunshine too.
Best wishes to you all and your lovely Goldens.

Nice to hear you had a good time Joyce, David and Sam, all topped off with icecream and swims. Glad that you had decent weather, not much fun this year for caravans with dogs.

We are going down to Cornwall the weekend after funday, can't wait. After a very up and down year, looking forward to the break. We've missed our jaunt down there this year, so spent a time on the club site yesterday looking for somewhere to go, and it must be within striking distance of Padstow. The dogs can run and swim there till they've had enough (or we have), fortunately they are still allowed to go on the beach which is the high light of the hols for them. Oh and the bakers there make the most wonderful scones for cream teas! (that's our treat)

Hi Lynn!
We had 11 days in Cornwall recently (plus two nights at Weston going down and 1 coming back.) The weather was reasonable except for one day when we went to Trago Mills and we paddled from the car through about 3" water!! So all in all we were lucky.
Hope you get good weather too, as Cornwall is dire when it rains day after day.
Best wishes - Joyce. :love4
