Love it..keep them coming true golden, my two had a cut and blow yesterday, how foolish was I, the afternoon walk on the field, first thing Paddy does is roll, why do I bother....
In the dog house again ... Bentley's face is as black as his nose
I've come to the conclusion that the best doggie spa is a small river with a good selection of stones on the bank. It works every time - they can't resist chasing the stones
I've taken to doing small detours at the end of a walk to get him into flowing water for a clean up. He's always wet but at least I don't have the mud to clean up like I used to - not always, anyway. He tricked me last night and found a muddy ditch I didn't know about just before we got home.
Dagnabbit, dog! I'm supposed to be the clever one, stop outsmarting me!
These are lovely photos Lesley, never known a Golden like him for mud, and he looks such a gentleman. One very happy boy.
I have found that a dip in the river works far better on them. Just something about clean flowing water, it really pulls the muck out of them. The odd stick or stones really help to get them in. Our 2 know that we head for the pebble beach on our way back from the walk, always eager to get there. Last week there were 2 dead birds which proved to be magnet for them, he wants to eat it, she wanted to roll, or at least scrub her shoulder into it. First time we have seen Willow get ready to scrub, a quick LEAVE IT surficed to stop that little caper. As for mud, we have had a never ending supply here this year, when will it end?
