At the caravan without Katie

Post by ceitadh »

Gordon and I went to our caravan at the weekend,it was strange to go without Katie. Sometimes even before we left home I would say to her "Are we going to the caravan and she would bounce up and down like a toddler as she loved to go to her other home by the seaside.
But now its just Gordon and myself as our daughter Louise is living in the halls of residence in Glasgow to be nearer the University. We are going to try and sell the caravan as we feel that it is time to make a change. We will go for the next two May hols after that we shall see.
I'm going to be busy trying to get my greenhouse put up,well Gordon will be doing that not me,I will try to help. We bought an Azalea bush and we have put it in a lovely big pot with Katie's ashes so that if we ever move she will go to. The name of the bush is "Golden Sunset" we thought that was appropiate and will be a lovely yellowy golden colour. I'm looking forward to it flowering. I really miss my friend we all miss her.
Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather I have been in the garden everyday adjusting to life without my friend keeping busy, sometimes you need to find a distraction and gardening does it for me along with my other hobbies that I'm building up. Oh well I suppose I'll not get bored.
Only problem is the inside of the house needs doing too.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend away even though you were missing your beloved Katie, Im sure you have so many happy memories of the times you shared with her in your caravan. Im sure as time goes by those happy memories will stay with you.The azalea bush is a great idea, and when it blooms it will always remind you of the golden girl who lit up your lives, long may the bush bloom and Katie be in your thoughts. :love3

Hi Lenny and Hairydog,Thanks for your messages. We are at our caravan in Ayrshire just now the connection is usually poor. Needless to say we watched William and Kate getting married. Didn't they look so happy. Later we went shopping and everywhere was quiet. Meet a gorgeous labrador puppy, and a labradoodle, just had to say hello to them and give them a stroke. No goldens though, sigh.
