Glad that Candy is on the mend it is so worrying when an oldie goes off their food and is being sick from Ginnie and Cobi.
Ginnie is wopped out and is fast asleep in her basket, Cobi is sulking !!! we have been away for 17 days in the caravan..... saw the Royal Wedding... toasted the happy couple.. any excuse for a drink tissues out, really enjoyed it.
Rubbish signal for mobiles and internet BUT....fantastic weather... lovely time.. except for the idiot who ran into the side of our car the day after we got there...no one injured.....needless to say I got out with my camera in my hand, so the insurance company now have a disc with everything on !!!!
Well obviously you havent all emigrated, but quite a few of you have been away enjoying the lovely weather,I am envious of most of you,and I am glad linda is ok after her bump and no one was injured dogs and humans. I do hope Candy is ok I do know from recent experience how worrying it can be till you get the results back, we have all got our fingers and paws crossed for her. We send our love to all of you, Lenny Celia Emily and Snowy.
Really sorry to hear you've had a worrying time with Candy.Really glad she is eating and on the mend.Good luck with the blood tests.
love Diane,Ellie and Monty xxx
Thanks everyone for all the good wishes for Candy.
The latest tests show her renal functions are showing signs of improving. She is eating and drinking, although still a bit weak . She is on all sorts of medication and fortunately she is very willing to have them all administed. There is one of her medications called "Canikur Pro " which we spread on a piece of toast and she eats it like Marmite.
She is blind, but yesterday when she went to the Vets I left her in the surgery with the Vet in order to get a sample from the car. The Vet must have left her for a moment because when I went to lock the car again , there she was sitting by the car.
Thanks again,
Pat, Syd Jazz & Candy
So sorry to hear of Candy's illness, and hope she is now well on the way to recovery - it is such a worry.
Fingers crossed and a hug for Candy.
(Samsmum) Joyce.
I bet that was a bit of a shock to find Candy by the car. Little monkey, wasn't going to be left. I hope all the mediacation is taking effect now. She is a lucky girl to have two caring doting owners.
Glad Candy is continuing to improve.... from all of us
Thanks Dianne but it's only a car..... Ginnie and Cobi and hubby are far more important.... and it's only a dented drivers door, the side bar stopped the brunt of of the damage, we could still use it... been taken away today to be repaired.
Jan , you know how Candy came to us and if ever a dog appreciated having a new home its Candy. She has repayed us a thousand times with her affection and loyalty.
She continues to improve, and last night she went to the toy box and came into the living room with a squeeky toy in her mouth.
Thanks again everyone.
Pat, Syd, Jazz & Candy
Just to let you know, Davids' been trawling through the info. for Bakewell.
Now, the latest from Mr. Grumpy is as follows...After my foray in M&S at Ilkley the other day I have to forget about M&S and Waitrose food halls, there is an Aldi there also!!!!!!! Grrrr, I think not.
oh no Lynn there is indeed an Aldi in Buxton! There are also quite a few charity shops but don't tell him that!!The Waitrose branch is fabulous! The Pavilion Gardens is really lovely for a walk around forgot to mention that. There's a great pet shop too which your too will love.
Have a great time.
We have been to the vets with Ellie and the Vet Fiona who knows Ellie well was convinced it was Kidney failure. We had a long wait yesterday for the blood test results and were all ready to cancel out holiday.Well would you believe it her test results were better than the last ones from january. It sounds like she has an inflamed pancreas. So further blood test are awaited. She is eating better now and it could possibly be that when she went off her food after the stroke we changed her to something more tasty which having a higher fat content could have caused this.We are in the middle of changing her back to a senior food anyway so fingers crossed everyone! We have upped her anti-inflammatory's and she is bouncing again too.Ellie loves her holidays especially sleeping in the bedroom with us(real treat). We cover the floor in sheets and they sleep on their vet beds so as to keep the room pristine.
