Retriever Rescue

Bentley had a bath last night. This is him before we set off on our walk this morning. Gorgeous.



I even managed to get him home relatively clean, a quick rub down with a wet kipper and he was fine.

Then.....

Partner in crime, Twitchy came with us for our evening walk.



Talk about glorious mud!

Muck hook of the year award is definately his. What a star, albeit a muddy one. Looks like he's found doggy heaven, bless.

Oh, I bet he enjoyed himself. Furthermore, I bet he'll be there again today - enjoying himself. We just can't hold out against their love of muck, regardless of the aftermath, can we? We fall for it every time.
He is an absolute star, and I can foresee many years of "entertainment" with him.

This little chap is the image of Timber at the same age, brings back so many memories. Timber was a wallower too from a young age, never happier than when he was covered in mud or poo. Tim' would run through muddy puddles scooping it up with his nose, then he would lay in it. Oh the joys.

Mud glorious Mud, Bently your a very lucky pup, your mum and dad must love you very much to let you get so dirty, well done to them.

Lesley can i ask this might be just a coincidence,am meeting up with an old school friend soon i haven't seen her since then.she mentioned her brother in law had a retriever called Bentley that isn't your family member is it?its not the most common of names.Judith Searson Shatwell?
