Hello to all of you Goldie lovers,
I’m a new member to the discussion forum and I just wanted to say hello to you all. I’m currently waiting for Jan to find me a Golden who is compatible to live alongside my Zac who is a wonderfully natured collie cross who I rescued 5 years ago from the RSPCA. After much research I decided that a Golden Retriever would have the perfect temperament and personality to live alongside my Zac. I think rescue is such a rewarding experience. From the day I took Zac home with me I’ve felt a great joy in my life. Every day I am so grateful that Zac is in my life. He is such a loyal and loving companion. I am in a fortunate position whereby I can home another dog and me and Zac are looking forward to having a new doggy friend in our lives. It’s so nice to read all of your comments on the forum, and reassuring to see such brilliant animal lovers who show their animals the respect, loyalty and admiration that they deserve.

Hello Louise, and a warm welcome to the site.Lovely to hear your story, and I bet you can't wait to welcome one of these beautiful dogs into your home . It's such a rewarding experience, as you already know. From the moment they enter your life, getting to know all their insecurities, and helping them grow in confidence and flourish. And then that wonderful day when you know that you've gained their trust.
You can be assured that Jan will do her utmost to find the right companion for you and Zac.

Many thanks for your lovely welcome! Yes it is so lovely and very rewarding when you gain the trust of your canine friend, and you know from that day that the lifelong bond has been established and can only flourish from there. What a great feeling! I have every faith that Jan will find a perfect companion for me and Zac. Thanks again for your message!

Welcome .Louise and Zak, I hope Jan can find you a new addition to your family,you seem like us to be totaly in love with are cannine friends, all I can say is that goldens are fantastic loyal lovable dogs, and have a lovely temprement but there again Im biast.I wish you all the best in your quest, but warn you also that having a golden can be very addictive, you will never want to be without one.

Honey is my first golden (she recently had her 4th Home Day) and we are all smitten by her and the breed. They're everything you could want in your dog and much more - strangers have crossed the street to make a fuss of her because she's so smiley, neighbours kids join in weeding the front garden because she's lying there.
Jan matched a fantasic golden to us, if your match is half as good then you'll be in for a treat. I hope you and Zac find your "Honey" soon.

We have 2 'rescue goldens' from Jan , in 2000 and 2005 (Ginnie and Cobi) and they have and continue to give us so much pleasure ..... not been on website for a few days ... we have been a bit busy......just collected Mum from hospital today after having another 'new hip'.
Jan will make sure that you 'get the right dog that suits your circumstances' she has done it twice for us, and got it spot on.
