Dear Bonnie

Post by janrobinson »

A sad day as I have had to say good-bye to my lovely Bonnie. It is doubly sad as it is so near the anniversary of John's death and she was so wonderful with him when he was so ill. She was constantly by his side nudging his hand gently to let him know she was there and he thought the world of her. She was also there for me in the dark days that followed.

She has been going downhill for a while now but she had a stroke and was so weak there was no other way.

Earlier today Tessa & Duke had been laid on either side of her as if to let her know they were there for her. This is something they have never done before.

We will all miss her so much.

Ah Jan...we are so sorry to hear you've lost your lovely girl, who has been your friend and a great comfort to you through the sad times. I'm sure Bonnie would have felt comforted with Tessa and Duke by her side.

We are all thinking of you here.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and wishes. I thought I was being so strong and then I come to that lovely photo of her. Anyway it is so nice to see that photo as it was just her. Thank you Lynda I think I will ask Ian to put that one on Rainbow Bridge for me.

Love to all of you from Tessa Duke and me xxx

Hi jan

So sorry to here your news about Bonnie. On a brighter note jasper was playing with a long haired german sheperd last night in the local beck by the caravan park and they said oh my sister has a golden called Tyler and he was a rescue golden. We said so is jasper and we got our jasper from Golden retriever rescue or my sister got hers from a lady called Jan we said that is one of the same. it is a small world they were so amazed we are awaiting to meet Tyler next i think they live in south yorkshire somewere. It was great to see a goldie and and german sheperd up to their necks in water we humans got a right soaking glad it was a warm sunny night. None dog people would have thought a riot had broken out.
