Honey

Post by julie »

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to Honey. She had become so poorly so quickly that it was 'time' to let her slip away peacefully.

We had just over 4 and half wonderful years with her, never long enough. She meant the world to us and us to her.

Julie,
I am so very sorry that you have had to say goodbye to your beautiful girl. Honey gave you four and a half wonderful years, and your memories of her will be so precious. To let her go peacefully and with dignity was a final act of love.

Thinking of you all at this sad time.

So sad to hear of Honey's passing. We are so privileged to have our Goldens, for however long, and 4 years is quite short. Do hope that happy memories sustain you at this time.
My thoughts are with you. Samsmum.

Oh Julie,
So very sorry to hear about your loss. I'm sure you must be feeling so sad at present, our thoughts are with you.
As you say, 41/2 years isn't long enough, but you gave her your love and kindness in her late years, and you will have lots of happy memories.

We all send our love, :love4 at the loss of your beautiful Honey, you gave her four happy years, and in turn she gave you so much love back. We all laughed at the photos of her in the bath, she was such a cutie, you must be missing her terribly. :2005:

Oh Julie we are so sorry to hear the very sad news about Honey. Like Jean says letting them go is the final act of love we can do for them although its heartbreaking for us.

It doesn't matter how long you have them - it is never long enough.

Thinking of you at this sad time

Julie

We are so sorry to hear about Honey, our thoughts are with you, and we send our love....

It doesn't matter how long you have a dog for..... the time spent together is never long enough, but Honey spent the last four years of her life with someone she loved and who loved her.

It was 10 years ago on 21st/22nd August that our Ceili was suddenly taken ill, and we had to have her PTS at 2.45am, she was only ill for 8 hours.... she wasn't a rescued retriever and I had Ceili for nearly 14 years, I still miss her. Then we collected Ginnie from Jan almost 10 years ago and I can't believe how fast the time has passed by...

I have only just managed to get online, and frustrated at being able to read them but not post messages
