It is lovely isn't it but is anyone else thinking "treat each day as if it were your last".Quite a few things on the list is what we all do with our dogs every day.I am constantly looking at Ellie thinking i must just cuddle her again as will one day wish i could.Don't give them anything that isn't good for them though.Always try to put them first.I must admit though while waiting for the vet to arrive at the end have given my dogs chocolate. Not being critical of this lovely gentleman in any way(was probably a working dog) but i just want to savor every minute with my dogs.Hope my post isn't misunderstood.
Love to all
Diane :love4

A lovely idea, and well-done Harry. I do agree with Diane too. The time that our dogs have with us is always too short, and I think every day we have them is a special bonus.
Best wishes to all - Joyce.

I do agree with you Diane. But as you say that dog was probably a working dog and didn't have what ours have every day. Though not fillet steak I hasten to add. Still a sad tale ro read.

Am always telling Monty(lounging on the sofa) when a working dog appears on the TV.Look there's a dog earning its living!Only joking of course they more than earn their keep just being there.I totally understand about working dogs as have a friend who is a shepherd. They have to sleep in a kennel outside to stand working in the deepest winter in the Peak District. If they weren't hardy it would kill them working outdoors all day in the snow.
It was a lovely thing for Harry to do for his friend. There is a deep bond between man and his working dog almost like no other. My friend John buries his dogs on top of a hill and regularly goes to sit and talk to them.
