Sorry to hear about Brad Ive been off line for a couple of weeks , so trying to catch up now, if its any consolation Snowy had a mass cell tumor last year, and after two operations seems to be ok, it was them medium aggressive, so fingers crossed, things are looking positive, I do hope Brads tumor not the aggressive type, but don't give up hope whatever the outcome, The waiting is very hard I know,we are all thinking of him. Thank you each and everyone of you for keeping us in your thoughts it been a long and emotional journey for us but I am pleased to say all is good :) We are both so pleased but also very angry at the way things have been handled. We where still waiting for results 4 weeks later, so Neil took Brad to the vet Thursday to see our vet who couldn't believe we hadn't had the results! He then phoned the University to find out why we hadn't had them, they said they where still not back. Anyway after a heart filled conversation with our vet Neil came home. Our vet rang the next day to say he had spoken to a head consultant who said the results had come back all clear :) She doesn't understand why we hadn't had the results! She said she thought it was chronic rhinitis but was going to look over the MRI scan and give us a call. the same night our vet rang Neil to say yes thats what she though it was. We are so relieved that Brad is OK but all this emotional distress could have been averted if the consulted had not lead us to believe it was cancer! When we saw the scan I asked did he think it was cancer and he said "yes" from the way it was behaving, discussed possible treatment with us and cost etc Surely the consultant should of said we can't confirm this until the biopsy comes back, so lets remain hopeful he even said "its such a shame as he is a lovely dog"

Thanks for listening to my rant, just so pleased Brad is going to be OK xxx

So pleased that everything has turned out O.K. after all your worry. It was awful having to wait so long, but let's hope Brad enjoys good health for many years now.
Best wishes - Samsmum (Joyce). :1969

Have been waiting to hear this news, thank goodness all seems well with the biopsy. What a time you've both had waiting for this result. Thankfully all well, and now Brad and Ellie can get on with their lives.
Thanks for info Sonia, we have been thinking of you all.

So very pleased to hear your good news. :love4

I can understand your anger at your vet and the whole long drawn out stressful situation. I agree with you your vet should have said nothing if he did not know. He is not the specialist how many others has he said this to and they have taken a decision which may not have needed to be taken. Totally irresponsible. Also results like this should be back within a week at the most.

I really despair about some vets.
I think this bit should have been in the moans. :2007:

So very happy to hear your good news Sonia. I agree with everyone else, it was irresponsible of them to let you go through all that worry. Luckily all vets arn't the same.
Hope he can now stay healthy.
All good wishes and :bighug: s for Brad xx

Thank you everyone :) it's s huge relief to us all we where all so worried.
Jan the thing is this was no ordinary vets this was the university of Liverpool small animals hospital! It's a little like BUPA for pets. I am certainly going to write a letter of complaint as don't want anyone to go though what we have.
Our vet is lovely a nice guy from the USA, really good with with animals and great people skills to :) xx

Hi Sonia I think that they should have known better I agree that a letter should be sent forthwith. So they are aware of the error of their ways.
