poppy update

Post by julia »

Poppy is wonderful. she is so loving and settled. she is not limping the way she first was, (we were only giving her half of her dose of medication so it wouldn't run out before we got to the vet) I give her glucosamine and sardines or pilchards with her food, as recommended by people here. Yesterday we took her to west kirby. she loved the beach, but the tide was out so she couldn't get to the water. she did manage to find a disgusting muddy puddle in the marshland and rolled in it. Heaven :1960 . Our only shock so far is that she stole food :2026: ok most of you won't be surprised about that, but our 2 previous dogs have been able to be left alone with food in the room and never touched it (not because of any clever training on our behalf i must add).
Alan was sitting on the floor watching tv the other evening he had a plate with cheese straws on. He moved to get something and madam was over like greased lightning. nothing left but crumbs. And i worry about her poor arthritic joints, i just wish i could move so fast. I know we shouldn't laugh when she does naughty things but we just couldn't help it
