A little Bichon

Post by lynn wise »

Told Jan about this little lad this morning.

A friend and neighbour rehomed a Bichon on Monday. The poor little chap was 12 months old and had been hit and kicked about by his owners. Neighbours were alerted to his plight and promptly removed him. Unfortunately, the couple lived with her mother that didn't like dogs, or want him. Mother rang the pound to collect him to be destroyed, on the pretext of him going for one of the children. No one saw or heard any bad behaviour from him, so think it was an excuse to get rid of him.
Luck was on his side in that the person collecting him decided to ring Bichon Rescue, who promptly collected him and placed him in foster care. My friend and family visited him along with their own dog to make sure all would go well. Both dogs were in raptures with each other, so sweet little bundles of fun.
We met them both going for their early morning walk, wonderful little souls. Hopefully Marley will have his heart mended soon.
Thank goodness there are people out there that care, we are not alone, are we? Another little soul in a good and caring home at last.

Oh doesn't it make you mad when you hear of dogs being badly treated. I always feel like going and beating the owners up personally.
Thank goodness for decent people who foster or adopt the poor dogs - it would be awful if no-one did, and no-one deserves more praise than Jan who has re-homed so many unfortunate dogs.
Best wishes to all - Samsmum (Joyce).

Yes, and he's wonderful. After a nervous start, he is now coming out of his shell. I'm dog sitting for Carol on friday as they are taking their daughter up to Newcastle Uni for the day. Teddy and Marley are really getting on together, 2 little bundles of fun.
