i am jackie we got ellie from jan when she was 8 months old in 2002 she is very small very shy and very sweet we love her so much and she,s so well behaved , then in 2006 we got harvey he was a week off his 1st birthday he was big and handsome full of life and energy and also very stubborn and in time discoverd he was quite dominant he began having bad behavioural problems mostly in the last year and during this time he bit 3 times ,was nasty to the vets and snaped at our little grandaughter twice he was also chasing cars and bikes when on a country road ,we asked both jan and the vet for advise and reluctantly ended up having to have him put to sleep on 18th march 2009 we were there with him at the end and it was very traumatic he was,nt even 4 yrs old and i never want to go through that ever again
ellie,s doing ok without harvey and continues to follow her mummy around everywhere she is 7yrs old in september 2009 i cant imagine life without her , its bad enough loseing harvey we will be taking his ashes up to grassmere in the lakes soon his favourite swimming place it will be a sad day ,
i think jan is wonderful and has done alot for goldens in need of rehoming they are gorgeous dogs
and i think jan deserves a reward for all shes done over the years
